A group of people entered the Fairmont Chicago about 6:45 a.m. and began placing objects onto the breakfast bar containing food, the DNC Joint Information Center said. One person was treated. No arrests have been made.
About 7:15 p.m., two people fired shots at a group of people who were standing in the 5100 block of South Ashland Avenue, striking five people and a sixth man who was in a car that was driving by.
Osceola Little, 38, was being sought in a slaying Monday in Garfield Park. After a pursuit, authorities say Little barricaded himself in an industrial building. A nearby school was placed on lockdown during the search.
