Two cars collided about 2 a.m. Saturday in the 4200 block of West Lake Street. Both vehicles then struck supports for the CTA elevated train tracks. Two people were killed, and three people were hurt.
The man ran into traffic before being struck by a Toyota Prius, police said.
The man was found unresponsive in the water then taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.
The boy was in an alley when someone in a black Jeep fired shots, striking him in the abdomen. He was hospitalized in critical condition, police said.
