The developer behind the Goose Island project is proposing thousands of new residential units, retail and nearly two acres of outdoor space as well as a potential water taxi stop.
The proposed restructuring by Bishop Ron Hicks, leader of the Diocese of Joliet, follows other church and school downsizing moves announced earlier this year in and around Joliet.
In handing down the sentence, U.S. District Judge Virginia Kendall told Janice Weston, "It’s very troubling. You have a few moments in time where you knew it was illegal and you could have left.”
