The explosion in an unincorporated area near Lake Zurich Tuesday evening rocked the block and sent flames shooting into the sky. A man's body was found after the fire was put out.
The crash happened late Tuesday near 47th Street, state police said.
The man, who was taken to a hospital in critical condition following the incident, forced open the doors and stepped off the tracks.
