The man was accused of attacking his domestic partner with knives inside the restaurant Wednesday morning.
The train was approaching the 47th Street station when the man was shot in the leg, police said.
He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition after the 3:15 a.m. rescue.
The girl allegedly attacked three people May 10 on the Red Line. She was charged with robbery and aggravated battery. Other girls who were involved are still at large.
