Fire breaks out in restaurant kitchen in downtown Chicago

Wabash Ave., for a fire that had broken out in the kitchen on the second floor, the Chicago Fire Department said. Wilma’s Famous BBQ is located on the second floor at 17 N. Wabash Ave.A still-and-box alarm was called for equipment and manpower. Smoke was seen billowing out from the restaurant, causing a smoky haze in the nearby streets. No one was injured, but paramedics were checking on people who inhaled some smoke, fire officials said. The fire was struck out around 7:25 p.m.No other information was immediately available.
