Immigrant voters may have won America’s presidential election for the nativist candidate
The mass arrests occurred at a protest outside the Israeli consulate. Earlier arrests left protesters hospitalized and without access to lawyers.
"As a Black man raising a Black girl on the West Side of Chicago, I know that my daughter will see not only a reflection of herself in the White House but our deepest American values," Johnson told a world audience.
The letter was signed by 65 organizations, lawyers and legal workers, including the ACLU of Illinois and the Civil Rights & Police Accountability Project of the University of Chicago Law School.
