Larry Neuman was found shot multiple times Thursday in the 4300 block of West Monroe Street.
Larry Neuman, 73, was found with multiple gunshot wounds about 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the 4300 block of West Monroe Street. He was a "pillar" of his beloved West Garfield Park community, according to Pastor Paul Sims of St. Michael Missionary Baptist Church.
Former Mayor Lori Lightfoot established the Emergency Supplemental Victims Fund as a pilot in five communities. Her successor, Mayor Brandon Johnson, is using federal stimulus funds to expand the program into 10 additional neighborhoods.
Those two teens were among five people in a vehicle "traveling at a high rate of speed" Saturday in the 3800 block of Harrison Street when it failed to yield to a traffic signal and collided with another vehicle about 11:10 p.m., police said.
