Ald. Brian Hopkins reignited the debate, proposing an 8 p.m. curfew downtown for unaccompanied minors, two hours earlier than the current curfew. But research already shows curfews are "ineffective at reducing crime and victimization."
“We need to make a lot of noise and draw attention to the people who get paid to investigate and look for missing people,” said "We Walk for Her" marcher Zakiyyah Muhammad, 78.
The Archdiocese of Chicago, which owns the shuttered Pilsen church, has resisted granting it landmark status, arguing the restrictions would burden the church financially and make it harder to find a buyer.
