Five men ranging in age from 18 to 59 were killed in the shootings including a double-homicide involving a tow-truck driver in Roseland.
Just before 11 p.m., Trumaine Hatchett, 18, was in a home in the 8500 block of South Parnell Avenue when he was shot multiple times in the body, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner's office said.
About 11 p.m., the 30-year-old man was standing in the street with a crowd in the 8400 block of South Kerfoot Avenue when he was shot in the torso, Chicago police said.
A 47-year-old man was near a sidewalk in the 8700 block of South Carpenter Street about 3:15 p.m. when he was shot in the back, police said.
