Hundreds cheered from the sidewalk of Division Street as the parade passed through Humboldt Park Saturday, many holding or even wearing different renditions of the nation's flag.
A 12-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl were shot about 9:20 p.m. in the 500 block of East 31st Street. A 16-year-old boy was shot about 10:15 p.m. in the 3400 block of South King Drive.
“This world shines a lot less because she’s gone,” a family friend said.
Two cars pulled over to the side of the expressway about 10 p.m. Monday near 111th Street after a collision on I-57. Tayvon Green-Powe, 25, allegedly stepped out of one car and shot and wounded another motorist.
