Suspect in Chicago slaying in custody after daylong manhunt in Lake Barrington

Osceola Little, 38, was being sought in a slaying Monday in Garfield Park. After a pursuit, authorities say Little barricaded himself in an industrial building. A nearby school was placed on lockdown during the search.


Lake County authorities have apprehended a man sought in a Chicago slaying who eluded capture in the Lake Barrington area for most of the day Tuesday. A spokesman for the Lake County sheriff’s office said 38-year-old Osceola Little was wanted in connection with a slaying in Chicago late Monday. Little led police on a chase that ended near U.S. 14 and Pepper Road in Lake Barrington.
